![]() ![]() My story, The Locket, was published in the ‘Do the Write Thing’ Anthology in conjunction with Seoige & O’Sea and RTE. I was married at the tender age of 15 which ended my education abruptly – no night schools in rural Ireland back in the 70’s, and even though I’m challenged with dyslexia, I have never let it stop me. ![]() ![]() I’m a writer at heart and I could no more give up writing than I could give up breathing. My love of scribbling my thoughts in copies stems from more than just my creative side being stimulated by the days of Black Beauty and Little Women, but also from school days when my best friend and I wrote to each other every night in the back of a copy and then swapped copies every morning in the hallway before class.Ĭan you imagine what the children of today, so accustomed to the instant technology of texting etc, would make of that? I have been writing since I first figured out what a pencil was for – and an graphic pencil and copy is still how I write the frame of my stories.
